These 6063 architectural round tubes are formed through an extrusion process. They have a smoother surface than 6061 aluminum tubes, resist corrosion, and provide good finishing properties. Typical uses include construction, marine, and anodizing applications. Type 6063 aluminum is also called an architectural alloy.
6061 AL round tubing is formable, machinable, and weldable and offers a good strength to weight ratio. This aluminum alloy can be heat treated and is commonly anodized for further corrosion prevention.
